IPL 2023: Lucknow beat Hyderabad by five wickets

Lucknow spinners picked six of Hyderabad's eight wickets as the visitors were dismissed for 121/8 in their quota of 20 overs. Krunal Pandya was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets while Amit Mishra picked two after SRH skipper Aiden Markaram opted to bat first.

After a heavy defeat to Rajasthan Royals in their first match of the 16th Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad will travel to face Lucknow Super Giants in their second match of the season. Bhuvneshwar Kumar led the team in their first match but will now hand over the responsibility to Aiden Markaram, who has been named captain for this season. Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, won their first match against Delhi Capitals at home by 50 runs but lost against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium by 12 runs earlier this week.
